Absorption Filter Clips
FS absorption color filters produce colored light by blocking particular wavelengths and transmitting the rest. FU ultraviolet filters reduce photochemical degradation in sensitive materials, while FR infrared filters reduce heat radiation.
When applying our filters, using standard open lamps is sufficient. Nevertheless, all filter clips can also be applied to covered lamps. When relamping, the filters can be kept.
The filters are made of tempered solid colored glass, about 2.7 mm thick for heavy duty applications. A ventilation gap of appr. 2 mm between filter and reflector helps to reduce the socket temperature of open lamps. We make filters for MR 16 / PAR 16 only.
